Keep your photos safe
What "saved" means, and the three rules that protect your work.
Your photos are your proof of work, so here is exactly where they live and how to keep them safe.
Where your photos are
- Free plan: only on your phone, in your browser's storage. We never receive them. If you clear your browser data or lose the phone, they cannot be recovered. Send yourself a PDF of finished reports.
- Pro: on your phone and in your account. After each photo, a line on the main screen reads Saving 3 photos…, then ✓ All photos saved to your account. Once you see that, the photos are safe even if the phone is lost.
Three rules
- Use a normal browser tab. A Private (incognito) tab does not keep photos, so they vanish when the page reloads or the tab closes. Photo Luego warns you if it spots this. Open it in regular Safari or Chrome instead.
- Watch for "All photos saved" before you clear anything or close the app, especially on a big job or with a weak signal.
- Do not clear website data for app.luego.io in your browser settings, and think twice before signing out. Signing out removes your jobs and photos from that phone (they stay in your account). If photos have not finished saving, Photo Luego warns you first.
Add it to your home screen
Open Photo Luego in Safari or Chrome and choose "Add to Home Screen". It then opens like an app, in a normal tab with its own storage, and loads faster.
If something looks wrong
- "Not saved yet" on the main screen: you are offline or the connection dropped. Stay in the app and tap the line to retry. It saves when you are back online.
- A red bar says the browser cannot keep photos: you are probably in a Private tab. Reopen the page in a normal tab.

Questions
What happens to my photos if I lose my phone?
On Pro, they are in your account. Sign in on another device and they come back. On the free plan, they cannot be recovered.
Do you use my photos for anything else?
No. We do not sell them, use them for ads or to train AI, and we do not look at them unless needed to run the service or follow the law. See our privacy page.
