How to find your review links
Google, Facebook and Yelp: the link customers tap to leave you a review.
A review link takes your customer straight to the box where they write a review, with no searching. Photo Luego puts each link on your report as its own button. The links are easy to find once you know where to look. The menus change from time to time, so if a name differs, look for the closest one.
Google is the review most customers look for. You need a Google Business Profile, which is free. Try these in order:
- Sign in to Google with the account that manages your business, then search for your business name. A panel for your business appears, with buttons for Edit profile and Ask for reviews (it may say Get more reviews).
- Choose Ask for reviews. Google shows a short link and a QR code. Copy the link.
- Not seeing it? Open business.google.com, choose your business, and look for Ask for reviews or Share review form in the menu.
- Still stuck? Use Google's Place ID Finder (search the web for "Google Place ID finder"). Type your business name, copy the Place ID it shows, and put it into this link in place of YOUR_PLACE_ID: https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID
Open your finished link on your phone. You should land on a box that says "Write a review" with your business name at the top.
Open your business Page on Facebook, then choose the Reviews tab (some Pages call it Recommendations). Copy the address from your browser's address bar. If you cannot see a Reviews tab, turn it on in your Page settings under Templates and tabs.
Yelp
Search for your business on Yelp and open your listing. Choose Write a review, and copy the address of the page that opens. A review page needs your customer to be signed in to Yelp. Yelp also asks businesses not to request reviews, so many owners leave Yelp off the report. Add it only if it fits how you work.
Other sites
Angi, Nextdoor, Thumbtack and others work the same way. Open your listing, find the button for a customer to write a review, and copy that page's address.
Add them to Photo Luego
- Open Settings and find your business details.
- Under Review links, paste each link. You can add up to five.
- Make a report and check the preview. Each link shows as its own button at the end of the report.
You can try them in the report designer first. See Customize your report.
Test every link
Open each link on your phone, in a private browser tab, before you send a report. If a link goes to the wrong business, or just to a search page, find the right one and replace it, so happy customers do not end up reviewing someone else.
Questions
Which review site matters most?
For most local service businesses, Google. It shows up when people search for you. Add Facebook or Yelp if your customers use them.
Can I add more than one?
Yes, up to five. Each one becomes its own button at the end of the report.
My customer says the link asks them to sign in.
Google, Facebook and Yelp all need the customer to be signed in to leave a review. That is normal, and it is a good reason to send the link while the job is fresh.
