Photo Luego

For lawn care pros

Lawn care looks like nothing until you show where it started

A tidy lawn just looks like a lawn, and customers on a weekly plan stop noticing. Photo Luego records how each property looked when you arrived and when you left, from the same spot, so customers can see what their money bought.

Works in your phone's browser. Free plan, no card needed.

Where the money leaks

Customers on a weekly or monthly plan stop noticing the work and start asking what they pay for.

A new client's lawn starts out rough, and nobody remembers how rough once you have fixed it.

A missed spot or a broken sprinkler head becomes your word against theirs.

How Photo Luego helps

An overlay of your first photo guides you to the same spot on every visit, so week one and week eight line up.

Time and date on every photo, from your phone, record what was already there: dog spots, bare patches, damaged heads.

A branded report with before and after sliders for a first cut, a cleanup, aeration or overseeding.

Add up to four helpers on Pro, so the whole crew adds to the same job.

On the job

Photograph the front lawn, back lawn and edges on the first visit, then the same spots after the first cut. Send the report once the cleanup is done, and use it again when the season turns.

How a lawn care pro uses it, step by step

  1. 1

Photograph before you start. Front lawn, back lawn, edges, bare patches and sprinkler heads. Tap the shutter for each shot.

  2. 2

Do the work. Cut, edge and clean up. Your photos are saved on your phone, even without a signal.

  3. 3

Match the after shots. The camera shows a ghost of each before photo, so you stand in the same spot at the same angle. A live percentage tells you when it lines up.

  4. 4

Send the report. Text your customer a link to a page with before and after sliders, your logo, your review links and a pay button.

Where photos earn their keep in lawn care

Most of the value is not in one big cleanup. It is in the small moments when a customer wonders what they are paying for.

First visits: record the starting point, including damage that was already there.

Seasonal jobs: spring cleanups, aeration, overseeding and leaf removal all leave a visible result worth showing.

Add-ons: a before and after of fresh mulch, edging or a cleaned bed makes the next upsell easy.

Complaints: a dated photo of the lawn when you left answers "you missed a spot" quickly.

Photo Luego or lawn care software?

Lawn care software, such as Jobber, LMN, Service Autopilot and Yardbook, handles scheduling, invoicing and your customer list. Photo Luego does one job: proving and presenting your work.

Tips for before and after photos that match

  1. 1

Pick a fixed landmark, such as a mailbox, a tree or a downspout, and shoot from it every time.

  2. 2

Cut height, stripes and crisp edges show best in low side light, early or late in the day.

  3. 3

Photograph before you mow and before you blow off clippings, so the contrast is clear.

  4. 4

Keep hoses, mowers and trailers out of the after shot.

  5. 5

Take one wide photo and one close photo of each problem area.

  6. 6

For a renovation, shoot the same spot every couple of weeks to show the growth.

Short captions that help the report sell

One line under a transformation says what you did. A few to adapt:

First cut of the season, edges and beds cleaned up.
Bare patch overseeded and watered in.
Overgrown back lawn cut, trimmed and edged.
Front beds weeded and mulch refreshed.
What to tell the customer

Tell new customers you photograph each lawn on the first visit: "It shows us both where the lawn started, including any damage that was already there, and I will send you a short report after the first cleanup." Photograph existing damage before you start.

General advice, not legal advice. Rules about photographing people and property vary by place, so check yours.

Questions

What is the best before and after photo app for lawn care?

It depends on what you need. If you want matching before and after photos and a report you can send to customers, Photo Luego is built for exactly that, and it has an always-free plan. If you also need routes, scheduling and invoicing, lawn care software does that, and many lawn pros use one of those together with a photo app like Photo Luego.

Do I need to photograph every weekly visit?

No. Take a full set on the first visit, then photograph changes and problems when they happen: a new bare patch, weeds after rain, a repaired sprinkler head. Seasonal before and afters, such as a spring cleanup, aeration or overseeding, show the value of your work best.

How do I show progress on overseeding or a lawn renovation?

Photograph the same spot every couple of weeks. The overlay of the earlier photo helps you stand in the same place. Put the first photo and the latest one together in the report so the growth is easy to see.

Can I record damage that was there before I started?

Yes, and you should: sprinkler heads, bare patches, dog spots and cracked edging. Photos with the time on them make a "that was already there" argument short.

Does it work with Jobber?

Photo Luego works alongside your scheduling tool, and connects directly to Calendly: your bookings appear on their own, with the customer and address filled in. With other tools, such as LMN, Service Autopilot or Yardbook, there is no direct link yet, but Photo Luego works alongside them. Take the photos and text or email the report to your customer.

How much does Photo Luego cost for lawn care?

The free plan has no time limit and keeps one job at a time on your phone. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed. Pro saves your photos to your account, shares report links, and adds Calendly and team features.

Can I send the report by text?

Yes. On Pro you get a link to a report with before and after sliders, and a button that opens your messages with the link ready to send. On the free plan you can send a PDF.

Make your next job pay for itself.
